Hygiene & Safety



The health and safety of our guests and colleagues is our highest priority. That is why we have designed a comprehensive hygiene and safety concept at the Europäischer Hof Heidelberg, which we implement consistently and caringly. Outstanding hygiene and cleanliness in all areas as well as comprehensive safety are basic requirements for us. And this is independent of pandemic times. We want you to feel comfortable and safe with us at all times.

General

Arrival
In the entrance areas you will find contactless hand disinfection stations. In order not to do without a personal "warm welcome", we have erected Plexiglas walls in the reception area. We mark designated entrances and exits by describing walkways and spacing markings on the floor. Room cards as well as ballpoint pens are hygienically cleaned and disinfected after each contact. We ask you to pay without cash if possible. Before your arrival, please inform yourself here about the entry regulations for the state of Baden-Württemberg.

Hygienic cleaning & disinfection
We regularly clean and disinfect surfaces, handrails, door handles and other contact surfaces. Hand disinfection dispensers are available in our public rooms.

Lifts
The use of our lifts is limited to two people at a time. We clean and disinfect our lifts several times a day.

Reception
A reception specialist is available as a "lobby manager" who proactively regulates the flow of guests or visitors so that there are no traffic jams or waiting times.

Air purification

In addition to the existing supply and exhaust air, our public premises are equipped with very high quality room air purification devices which continuously destroy all airborne viruses and bacteria by UVC irradiation. And they do so with a 99.9% rate. In addition, the rooms are ventilated regularly.

Contact

Our service staff receive regular training on all infection control measures. These include the correct wearing of mouth and nose coverings, comprehensive hand hygiene, observance of distance regulations and avoidance of physical contact, correct handling of work clothing and materials and the correct use of cleaning agents and disinfectants.

Rooms & equipment

Personal Staff
Our 2 housekeepers, 3 housekeeper assistants and 15 permanently employed chambermaids are very responsible in ensuring the highest level of cleanliness not only in the public areas but also in the rooms and function rooms.

Hygienic cleaning & disinfection
We clean and disinfect important contact points such as handrails and door handles on a regular basis. Contactless hand disinfection dispensers are available in the public areas. Comprehensive cleaning processes have been defined for cleaning the rooms.

Contactless service
Of course, you have the option of cancelling your room cleaning or having your room service carried out without personal contact, should you wish to do so in times of pandemic.

Equipment
We do not use multiple-use displays, brochures and magazines in the rooms.

Restaurant & Bar

Breakfast
We serve our extensive breakfast menu á la carte. On request, you will receive a daily newspaper for your exclusive use.

Hygienic cleaning & disinfection
We regularly clean and disinfect chairs, menus, handrails and other contact surfaces. Contactless hand disinfection dispensers are available on our premises.

Cloakroom
For hygienic reasons, we ask our guests to take their cloakroom with them to their seats.

Spacing regulations
We guarantee a minimum distance of at least 1.5 metres by generously arranging the tables and chairs in our restaurant. In order to maintain clear walkways and avoid close encounters, we mark defined entrances and exits. Upon arrival, we will be happy to seat you.

Air purification

PANORAMA SPA

Hygienic cleaning & disinfection
We clean and disinfect couches, tables, door handles and light switches regularly. Our fitness equipment is cleaned and disinfected after every training interval. Contactless hand disinfection dispensers are available in the wellness area.

Service
On arrival at our PANORAMA SPA, we provide you with towels, bathrobe and slippers.

Distance regulations
In times of pandemic, we are allowed to welcome a maximum of people at a time in our PANORAMA SPA due to the official distance regulations. It is therefore necessary that you reserve a "period of time" before your visit during which you would like to use the wellness area. Our chairs and loungers are arranged with a minimum distance of 1.5 metres. Simultaneous use of the sauna, sanarium and steam bath is limited to a maximum of 2 people.

Meetings & Celebrations

Hygienic cleaning & disinfection
We regularly clean and disinfect utensils (e.g. pens and technology), chairs, tables, door handles and light switches. Contactless hand disinfection dispensers are available in the function area.

Cloakroom
For hygienic reasons, we ask our guests to take their cloakroom with them to the venue.

Equipment
We provide sufficient working materials (e.g. moderation cards) per participant for one-time use.

Premises
We guarantee you and your guests a minimum distance of at least 1.5 metres by providing generous seating in our rooms. In order to maintain clear walkways and avoid close encounters, we mark designated entrances and exits. Ventilation facilities are available in all our rooms.

Catering
Each guest has his or her own glasses, cups and drinks at his or her own place. These are renewed after each break. Coffee, snacks and meals are served at your seat to avoid close contact.

Cancellation policy

Individual bookings can be cancelled free of charge up to 48 hours/2 days before arrival - 12.00 noon CET. After this time, 90% of the agreed price for the overnight stay must be paid if it is not possible to re-let the room. Please note that separate cancellation conditions apply to special rate, group and package bookings.
