If we are impressed by your application, we will invite you to a personal interview. This will allow you to get to know us – and find out straight away whether the atmosphere suits you. Afterwards, you can experience for yourself what it’s like to work with us during a 2-3 day trainee internship: right in the middle
of the team, in real everyday hotel life, with real guests.
As a rule, we do not offer longer internships. However, during the application process, you have the opportunity to get to know our company, the team and your desired profession first-hand as part of a short trainee internship.
Training starts on August 1 or February 1 and usually lasts 3 years. Depending on your previous knowledge and commitment, it is possible to shorten the course – and thus accelerate your career start.
With us, learning means experiencing, tackling, thinking and growing. You will pass through all the relevant departments of a grand hotel – from reception to housekeeping to the kitchen – and develop step by step into a specialist. You will learn the theory at vocational school and the practice directly
with us, in a team that encourages and supports you.
The hotel industry is not a 9-to-5 job – it’s a way of life. Of course you work in shifts, including evenings and weekends. However, we pay attention to fair duty rosters, compensatory time and to you. Because if you are there for your guests, you need a strong foundation yourself – and we guarantee that.
Your training is free of charge. The only costs you will incur are for rent, clothing and travel expenses – many of which you can reduce through our staff housing and benefits. We cover all accommodation costs in the vocational boarding schools. Special requests such as single rooms only have to be paid for if necessary.
Yes, depending on availability, we offer rooms directly on the company premises or in a modern trainee flat share. This will make your start in Heidelberg easier and you will quickly become part of our community.
Our remuneration is based on the collective agreement for the hotel and catering industry. You also benefit from employee benefits, Christmas and vacation bonuses and discounted meals.

Industry-related jobs in the hotel and catering sector also offer you attractive prospects. Alternatively, you can start a degree in tourism and hotel management, business administration with a focus on the hotel industry, event management or international hospitality
management. We will accompany you on your path – with genuine interest and trust.
